My thoughts on Child Abuse.

My opinions on child abuse are that it is totally wrong and sick. Nobody should be able to hurt a child and if they can, that’s disgusting. Child abuse is one of the major problems in America today. Every ten seconds child abuse is reported and everyday three children die from it. Colorado has one of the highest rates of child abuse; it’s third on the national deaths from child abuse list.
What is Child Abuse?
Child abuse is harm to, or neglect of, a child by another person. It’s not only adults who abuse children, but children do it too. Child abuse has many different types: sexual, physical, emotional, verbal, or neglect.
How it affects the child?
Children are physically and emotionally hard. Girls who are abused by men are usually scared of all men after they are saved… if they are ever saved. They are usually anti-social and can’t go near people because they are so afraid. They’ve been taught not to trust anyone, even if it is they’re parents.
Take a minute and think about if you were a child being abused. You’d have to go home every night and face the person who is abusing you. There are children right now, while you are reading this, that are being abused and dying from being abused. Think about your children and if you were abusing them right now. Yeah, yeah, you’re probably crying just thinking about it, but that’s what parents do. That’s what some people do walking down the street.
Anybody you see could have a child at home who they are abusing. Bullies in school yards are emotionally and verbally abusing another child. Listen to your children when they say that somebody is bullying them at school. They are being abused, it may be called bullying but it’s still abuse. LISTEN!!!!!
Statistics:
· Approximately 80% of child abuse is perpetrated by a parent or caregiver.
· Children under the age of 4 account for 75% of all child abuse deaths.
